  • Lei Jun
    Founder, Chairman and CEO

    Lei Jun was part of the founding team of Kingsoft in 1992. He later became CEO of Kingsoft in 1998. He founded Joyo.com in 1999. After Kingsoft completed its IPO, Lei Jun relinquished from his position and remained as Vice Chairman of Kingsoft. In the next few years, Lei Jun invested many startup companies like Vancl, YY and UC as angel investor. In July 2011, Lei Jun returned to Kingsoft as Chairman of the Board of the company. On April 6, 2010, Lei Jun chose to start his entrepreneurship again and founded Xiaomi.

  • Lin Bin
    Co-founder, President

    Lin Bin graduated from Sun Yat-sen University and obtained electronic engineering degree in 1990. He obtained his computer science master degree of Drexel University in 1992. Then he joined Microsoft and made a successful career as Project Leader Engineer, Senior Develop Manager of MSRA, Engineering Director of MSRA. He also participated in the R&D of products including Windows Vista and IE8. Lin Bin joined Google in 2006 as Vice President of Google China Institute of Engineering and Engineering Director of Google Global. He was responsible for building and managing Google China’s Mobile Search and the Android App Localization teams.

    Co-founder, Vice President

    Li Wanqiang is responsible for the marketing of Xiaomi. He was the General Manager of Kingsoft Dictionary and notable for being one of the earliest UI practitioners in China. Graduated from Xi'an Science & Engineering Institute with a degree in Industrial Design in 2000, he joined Kingsoft’s UI Department and played a key role in developing many famous software projects including Kingsoft Antivirus, Kingsoft Dictionary and WPS Office, mainly in charge of UI design. Li Wanqiang served at Kingsoft in various positions as Cheif Designer of UI department, Director of Design Center and Director of Internet Content. He has been invited by many universities for lecture.

    Co-founder, Vice President

    Doctor Zhou is responsible for Xiaomi's Mi-Phone Team. He obtained his PhD from Georgia Tech in 1991. Doctor Zhou was the Chief of hardware R&D of Motorola's best-selling model "Ming" series. He joined Motorola headquarter as a core expert engineer in 1995, then returned to China to establish the R&D Center for Motorola China in 1999. During his career at Motorola, Doctor Zhou served as Senior Director of Motorola Beijing R&D Center, Chief Engineer and Director of R&D Center of Motorola Personal Communication Department, Vice Chairman of Mobile Patent Committee in Motorola China Research Academy, and Vice Chairman of Cellphone Quality Control in Motorola Asia-Pacific.

    Co-founder, Vice President

    Huang Jiangji is responsible for MiTalk. He graduated from Purdue University and worked for Microsoft from 1997 to 2010. As the Develop Director of Microsoft China Acadamy of Engineering. Huang Jiangji oversaw the development of products such as high performance analysis system of Microsoft business server, B2B system, Biztalk auto-logistics distribution system, Chinese version of Windows Mobile, Windows Phone 7 multimedia, Internet Explorer, and instant messager.

  • Hong Feng
    Co-founder, Vice President

    Hong Feng is responsible for MIUI. He graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and obtained computer science & engineering degree, then he received his computer science master degree from Purdue University. From 2001 to 2005, Hong Feng worked in Siebel, then he joined Google as Senior Software Engineer who oversaw Google Calendar, Google Map and Google 3D Street View. From 2006 to 2010, He was promoted to Senior Product Manager of Google China, and led the Google China team to develop a series of localized products like Google Music and Google Pinyin Input.

  • Wang Chuan
    Co-founder, Vice President

    Wang Chuan is responsible for MiBox. He graduated from Beijing University of Technology with a degree in Computer Hardware in 1993. He founded Thunder Stone Technology Ltd. In 1997 and developed the company to be the biggest audio-visual entertainment equipment supplier in China. In 2010 Wang Chuan founded Beijing Duokan Technology Co., Ltd and has served as CEO. In 2012, Wang Chuan became the Co-founder of Xiaomi.

  • Liu De
    Co-founder, Vice President

    Liu De is responsible for Xiaomi's industrial design. He graduated from Art Center College of Design and received master degree. Liu De returned to China and founded the Industrial Design Department of Beijing University of Technology. Liu De is one of only 20 nationals to have graduated from the Art Center College of Design over the institution’s 80 year history.

  • Hugo Barra
    Vice President (moved on)

    Hugo Barra is responsible for Xiaomi's Global division and is in charge of the company's products and operations in all markets outside of Mainland China. Before joining Xiaomi in 2013, Hugo Barra was Vice President of Android Product Management at Google. Prior to joining the Android team, he worked for Google in London as Director of Product Management for Mobile, a role he had since joining the company in 2008. Hugo is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with bachelors and masters degrees in computer science, electrical engineering and management science.
