Hong Kong-headquartered Gusto Collective has officially acquired Singapore-based luxury marketing firm Mercury Integrated in an undisclosed deal.
Gusto Collective combines storytelling, data science, and tech to create marketing content. The firm, which calls itself a brandtech company, also uses augmented reality, metaverse, and NFT innovations to improve customer experiences.
It was founded in 2020 by Aaron Lau, who previously worked for marketing agency Cheil Worldwide. The startup now has six offices across the globe, including in China, which it entered in 2020 via the acquisition of Shanghai-based Reuter Communications.
In May 2022, Gusto raised US$11 million in a seed funding round led by Animoca Brands and Gaw Capital.
Lau said the acquisition of Mercury Integrated gives the company “a truly pan-Asian presence while also doubling down on our commitment to the luxury sector, which has been at the forefront of technology adoption.”
