Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon is a business leader, Grammy-nominated artist, and humanitarian. A former partner at McKinsey and Company, Ms. Tandon now focuses on measurable transformation of institutions to excellence at Tandon Capital Associates, having worked with over 40 companies globally, with projects involving major ﬁnancial and operational restructuring, global and domestic strategy, organizational redesign, core process/performance improvement and broad-based culture change.
In addition to leadership roles at NYU as a whole, she is Chairman of the Board of NYU Tandon School of Engineering, a member of the Board of Overseers of the NYU Stern Business School, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the NYU Langone Medical System. Ms. Tandon is also a member of the Board of the Lincoln Center for Performing Arts, the Yale President’s Council, and the Berklee School of Music’s President’s Council, where Berklee-Tandon Global Clinics bring music faculty to the world.
Ms. Tandon has received numerous awards for integrity and leadership, including the Gallatin Medal, New York University’s highest honor; the Walter Nichols Medal from NYU Stern; and the Polytechnic Medal. She was also inducted as a Sterling Fellow at Yale and to the Harold Acton Society of NYU. Recently, Americans for the Arts named Chandrika Tandon the 2018 recipient of the BCA Leadership Award, and in Spring 2019, she will be inducted into the Horatio Alger Association for Distinguished Americans.
Ms. Tandon has released four albums under her not-for-profit label, Soul Chants Music, including Soul Call, which was nominated for a Grammy. She has performed for millions at major venues around the world.
